Reigning Nepal No 1 Khadka has a total score of one-over 217 after the completion of third round and maintained one-stroke lead over club-mate and former Nepal No 1 Shiva Ram Shrestha. [break]
Shrestha, who played a disastrous round of seven-over 79 on the second day after the first round score of three-under 69, carded two-under 70 on Wednesday for a total of two-over 218.
Another RNGC pro Umesh Nagarkoti is third at three-over 219 after the third round score of two-over 74. Three pros Purna Sharma, Deepak Thapa Magar and Mani Rai are tied for the fourth position with the total score of 220. Sharma shot three-over 75, while Thapa Magar hit two-over 72 and Mani Rai carded one-under 71.
Defending champion Rupak Acharya (77) is eighth at 227, while Ramesh Nagarkoti (76) is ninth at 228 and Pashupati Sharma is 10th with the total score of 230 after another frustrating round of 80.
Overnight leader amateur player Samundra Giri slipped down to seventh with the total score of 222 as he shot six-over 78 on day III. However, he still leads the amateur section by 14 strokes over Wanchen Dhondup, who shot five-over 77. Tashi Tsering is third at 239.
The final round of the eighth and final event under the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2010-11 will be held on Thursday. The top three pros will receive Rs 80,000, Rs 51,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively.
