BAJURA, July 19: Traffic on the Sanfe-Martadi road has been disrupted as the road has been blocked by landslides at multiple locations, the District Police Office said.
Inspector at the District Police Office, Rabindra Singh Karki, said that the highway has been obstructed due to the occurrence of landslides at Taprisera, Rila and near the prison in Martadi.
The movement of long- and short-haul vehicles has come to a halt due to the landslides at these locations along the highway following incessant rains. Passengers traveling to various destinations within the district and outside have been stranded due to this.

Police said efforts are on to open the highway by removing the landslide debris.
Similarly, the Martadi-Kolti road that connects the district headquarters, Martadi, to the north-eastern region of the district has been blocked for the last two weeks. This road has been disrupted due to the occurrence of a landslide at Jilli, Badimalika Municipality-7.
Likewise, the Martadi-Kolti road has been impassable due to the rise in the water level in the Bauli, Anai and Dansanghu streams. Jeeps and goods-carrying vehicles operating to and from Martadi to the local administrative units in the north-eastern region of the district are not in service due to this.
