KATHMANDU, June 18: A protest was held in front of the Iranian Consulate and the Israeli Embassy in Kathmandu, organized by the Human Rights and Peace Society (HURPES) on Wednesday.
The HURPES urged an end to the war between Israel and Iran and conveyed a message of peace.
Since last Friday, hundreds have lost their lives and thousands have been injured in the ongoing conflict between the two countries. The world is appealing for peace.
Participants in the demonstration displayed placards with slogans such as ‘Iran’s nuclear ambitions are a threat to stability of that region,’ ‘Stop War Promote Peace,’ ‘War is an insult to Humanity and others.
