KATHMANDU, Sept 24: The Nepali Congress has completed its organizational elections in 630 local units across 66 districts ahead of its 15th General Convention scheduled for Oct 2 to 5.

The party’s central office said election officers have reported difficulties in completing the convention process in several areas due to heavy rainfall.
In response to the adverse weather and the weather information issued by the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the party’s Election Committee has directed that elections for provincial assembly and House of Representatives constituencies, originally scheduled for Sept 26, be completed by Sept 29 at the latest, depending on local conditions.
