NRNA President Mahesh Kumar Shrestha met Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal to push policy and regulatory changes needed to launch the Rs 10 billion NRNA Nepal Development Fund, which aims to mobilize major diaspora investment in Nepal’s infrastructure sector.

Santosh Pariyar, Chairman of the Pragatisheel Loktantrik Party’s Presidium, has been nominated for India’s Dr. Ambedkar International Award for Social Change 2025 for his contributions to social justice and efforts to end discrimination in Nepali society.

The recommended names include, Kabir Sharma, Lokesh Dhakal, Pratima Gautam, Manish Koirala and U P Lamichhane.

He said the identities of the deceased have not been ascertained yet.

As per the arrangement specified in the HoR Member Electoral Constituency, the percentage is being determined for Dalit, indigenous nationalities, Khas Arya, Madhesi, Tharu, and Muslim groups. 

According to sources at the President’s Office, the new ministers will be Shraddha Shrestha, Madhav Chaulagain, Rajendra Singh Bhandari and Kumar Ignam. 

The price of gold rose by Rs 3,500 on Friday compared to Thursday, reaching Rs 256,600 per tola, according to the FENEGOSIDA.
