When I was a child,
I had a red Mercedes,
They say;
A boy’s toy
Always will be a car or a gun!
But as a boy
I preferred
A car to run!
My favourite red
Mercedes was given to my cousin
And I wept
For a return kept
Then I was handed a twelve seater bus!!

Was an infinite joy.
Later,
As I grew younger,
I had a collection of
Ford T models,
Fancy Sports cars
Of which the doors can be opened
That made
My childish joy
Double elevated!!
Now,
I wonder
Where have those
Playthings vanished?
Because I don’t
Even enjoy the real SUV ride,
More than my
Little juvenile pride!!!
