KATHMANDU, Oct 19: CPN-UML lawmaker Surya Thapa has sarcastically said that the ‘Clean Chit and Acquittal’ movie had flopped following the arrest of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane.
Lawmaker Thapa led a special parliamentary committee formed to investigate the embezzlement of cooperative savings. The committee recommended action against Lamichhane.

However, after the report, RSP leaders and Chairman Lamichhane himself had claimed that they had received a ‘clean chit’.
Police stated that Lamichhane was arrested on Friday as a part of the implementation of the report.
In response, Thapa wrote on Facebook, "The 'Clean Chit and Acquittal' movie has flopped everywhere within days, and now a talentless new play called 'Revenge' is being staged!”
While stating that the new movie is also set to be a super flop, Thapa has asked people to wait and see.
