The administration noted that the figures are preliminary, and a detailed field assessment is still underway.
Meanwhile, road connections across Ilam remain cut off, with the Mechi Highway completely obstructed. Vehicles from Jhapa are reaching up to Maikhola near Rajdawali, from where travelers must cross the river on foot to continue toward Ilam.
Local governments, with the help of excavators and community labor, are working to restore road access. District Coordination Committee Chairperson Ganesh Baral said that if rainfall does not resume, the roads could reopen within two days.
Electricity has also been disrupted in several villages, leaving many areas out of communication. Teams from the Nepal Electricity Authority are working to repair fallen poles, and power supply is expected to resume within two to three days if conditions improve.
