NEW YORK, Sept. 23: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal and US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker held a bilateral meeting in New York on Tuesday.
Khanal, who is currently in New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, held talks with Hooker on the sidelines of the event.

According to the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations in New York, the two sides discussed a range of issues concerning bilateral relations between Nepal and the US. They also discussed ongoing relief distribution, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in areas affected by the August 26 Bhote Koshi flood.
The two sides also discussed continued US support for Nepal’s reconstruction efforts, the Permanent Mission said.
Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, Permanent Representative to the United Nations Lok Bahadur Thapa and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
