BAGLUNG, Sept 28: Ten people have died and one is missing after landslides triggered by incessant rainfall in Baglung over the past two days.
According to District Police Chief Phanindra Prasai, nine people died and one went missing on Sunday, while one died on Saturday. Four people died in Tamankhola Rural Municipality, where one person is also missing, while five died in Nisikhola Rural Municipality.

Eight houses were swept away in Tamankhola-3, while several houses were buried in landslides in Tamankhola-4 and Nisikhola-3. Four members of a family were among those killed in Nisihola.
Meanwhile, floods and landslides have damaged 24 houses in six local levels of Tanahun. A rice mill was also damaged, while a poultry farm and pigsty were swept away.
Floods in the Kaligandaki River damaged the Sita Cave area in Devghat, sweeping away several structures and belongings. Police rescued a 76-year-old priest from the affected area.
