KATHMANDU, June 3: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has appointed Dirgha Bahadur Rawal as the head of its Bank’s Supervision Department, replacing Ramu Paudel. The reshuffle comes shortly after Rawal's promotion from director.
Rawal previously led the Financial Information Unit and served in the Regulation Department. Until recently, he worked in the Currency Management Department.

As part of the changes, the central bank transferred Ramu Paudel to the Currency Management Department. This move marks one of the more notable shifts since Dr. Bishwanath Paudel assumed office as governor. In earlier reshuffles, he had kept the heads of powerful departments unchanged.
During Rawal's tenure as director, the NRB also transferred Pradeep Raj Paudel-then chief of the Currency Management Department-to the Information Technology Department.
