KATHMANDU, Sept. 23: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is set to hold conventions in all seven provinces on October 7 as it steps up preparations for its general convention in December.
The party has so far completed conventions in 72 districts. It has scheduled its general convention in Kathmandu from December 12 to 14.
UML to hold provincial conventions by mid-October
RPP has given additional time until October 1 for conventions in flood-hit Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading, as well as Jumla and Dhankuta.
The party’s Central Election Committee has deployed representatives to all seven provinces for the provincial conventions.
The RPP has set October 1 as the deadline for submitting applications for active membership and entering membership details into the system. The party said the process of updating active membership records is currently underway across the country.
According to the party’s statute, representatives to the provincial conventions will include district- and constituency-level office bearers, as well as representatives selected by local and district committees.
