KATHMANDU, May 25: The Supreme Court (SC) has corrected an error in the case of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane.

In its decision issued last Friday, the court had mistakenly written a verdict instead of order. The correction was made today.

On Friday, the joint bench of Justices Nahakul Subedi and Bal Krishna Dhakal had ordered that Lamichhane be kept in custody. However, the full text of the order had referred to it as a verdict.

The same bench of Subedi and Dhakal has now corrected the error.

“The order of the SC states, ‘It appears that a report has been received requesting a correction under Section 18(30) of the Administration of Justice Act, 2073 (2016), as the fourth line of the header in the order issued on May 23 mistakenly mentioned ‘verdict’ instead of ‘order’ due to a typing error.”
