KATHMANDU, Oct 8: Veteran Bollywood actor Nana Patekar has died at the age of 75.
Patekar was found unconscious at his residence in Dona Paula, Goa, India, and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Doctors pronounced him dead at 5:20 a.m. local time.

According to news agency ANI, preliminary reports suggested that Patekar had suffered a heart attack. Doctors tried to resuscitate him for about 45 minutes after he was brought to the hospital, but he did not respond, said Dr. Shekhar Salkar, head of the oncology department at Manipal Hospital.
“We performed CPR for 45 minutes, but we could not save him. Legal procedures have been initiated and a postmortem examination will be conducted,” he said.
Patekar’s family and authorities have not provided further details about the circumstances surrounding his death.
