BHAKTAPUR, June 30: A woman was killed by slitting her throat in a broad daylight at Khartipati, Bhaktapur.
Sabitri Bhattarai, 60, who was staying at son-in law's house was murdered. The incident happened near Nepal Electricity Authority's training center, Metropolitan Police Range chief and Superintendent of Police Sabin Pradhan.

She was staying in a newly constructed one and half-storey house of her son-in-law. The preliminary investigations of police showed that she was alone at home when the incident occurred.
A group of three youths coming on a motorcycle force-entered the house after 10:30 am and killed the woman.
Police were informed about it only at 1:00 pm and a team from the Crime Investigation Division, Police Range Bhaktapur gathered the preliminary details surrounding the crime. The body was found at the room. Police have launched a manhunt for the killers.
