KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday plummeted 21.48 points to close at 2,609.69 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,631.17 points, initially surged to the day’s high at 2,636.97 points in the first nine minutes before going to a straight fall. The index fell to the day’s low at 2,603.71 points in the last 23 minutes, while the market recovered around six points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.
Nepse marginally lower in week after last session recovery
All the 13 groups had their market values decline on an average. Non-life plunged by 102.12 points, the largest of all.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 2.70 points. The daily stood at Rs 5.33 billion.
Among the individual companies, 46 were gainers while 204 were recorded as losers. Sagar Distillery Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 436.95 million.
Bungal Hydro Limited witnessed the highest fall of 8.51 percent of its market price. Two companies including Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Shreenagar Agritech Industries Limited were the topmost gainers of 10 percent.
