The police had confiscated an American pistol and an Italian pistol and many rounds of bullets from them. They might be bought in the Indian market for robbery and other criminal activities, the police said.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Sher Bahadur Basnet, the chief of the DPO, the suspected criminals might have looted more than Rs 1.5 million from three separate incidents of theft in the district using the sophisticated weapons.
