ANNFSU Convention: Meeting called to resolve delegate dispute

KATHMANDU, Feb 12: The Election Committee formed to hold and oversee the election during the 22nd general convention of All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) has called a meeting to resolve the dispute here today.

The general convention of ANNFSU, student-wing of CPN-UML, being organized at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu since Thursady is to elect a new working committee for the Union.


Dispute has risen over the selection of delegates eligible to vote in election during ongoing general convention.

The meeting being held in coordination of CPN-UML leader Somnath Pyasi is expected to look into the dispute and resolve it as well as formulate code of conduct on the same.

As the meeting addresses the dispute, the designated delegates and those eligible representatives will cast their votes for a new leadership for ANNFSU, according to RC Lamichanne, Spokesperson of ANNFSU.

Spokesperson Lamichhane shared that the standing committee of the Union was also being held simultaneously to facilitate in the distribution of the identity card for the delegates.

The general convention will last through tomorrow. RSS
