Army School lifts cricket title

KATHMANDU, July 10: Host Birendra Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalay's Team A claimed the title of the CoAS Inter-school Running Cricket Trouphy defeating Team B of the same school on Friday.



Team A chased 24 run target in the final reduced to five over due to bad weather to win the trophy. Earlier, batting first Team A scored 23 runs in allotted five overs. Saroj Dallakoti of Team A was named play-of-the-final.

Team A claimed Rs 25,000 along with trophy while Team B bagged Rs 15,000. Manoj Pandit, who lost his life in devastatig earthquake, was adjugded best batsman.


Chief guest CoAS Gaurav Shamsher Rana handed over a total of Rs 100,005 to Manoj's mother Laxmi Pandit. The amount included prize money f winner and runner-up as well as Rs 60,005 from school family.
