KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 11: The Broader Citizens’ Movement has said that the Gen Z movement must be charted on the foundation of the Constitution to defeat counter-revolution. It also called on Kathmandu Metropolitan Mayor Balen Shah to clarify his position if he is cooperating in activities taking place outside the constitutional framework.
“It is extremely frightening and unacceptable that elements who infiltrated the Gen Z movement carried out physical, financial, and psychological destruction of state institutions. These infiltrators, in an organized and long-prepared manner, are now holding talks at the Army headquarters under the Army’s hospitality. The role of the Nepali Army in this regard is regrettable and must be corrected immediately,” the movement stated.

The movement also drew the attention of Mayor Balendra Shah, warning that if he is collaborating with such elements, he must immediately reflect on this and clarify where he stands.
The movement further stressed that the path to the success of the Gen Z revolution must be determined under the guardianship of the President.
“There is no alternative for the upcoming citizen government but to stand firmly on the foundation of this Constitution, remain within the constitutional path, and move forward with continued vigilance against corruption and misgovernance,” the statement added.
“The Nepali Army leadership must fulfill the serious responsibility entrusted to it by this Constitution and the historic role demanded by the Gen Z revolution. It must immediately end all forms of interaction with counter-revolutionary forces, and future discussions and programs should take place only with the participation and guardianship of the President.”
