KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Flooding in the Budhigandaki River, which flows through Gorkha’s Chumnubri Rural Municipality, has swept away the Bailey bridge at Dovan.
Rural municipality vice-chair Laxmi Gurung said the flood arrived with a loud roar at around 4:30 a.m. today, causing extensive damage in the area. The floodwaters reached Soti Bazaar at 7:30 a.m.

The flood also swept away a bridge and several sheds in Soti Bazaar.
The bridge leading to Kerauja and houses in several settlements were also reportedly washed away.
