KATHMANDU, March 20: On Sunday, March 20, at 6 o’clock in the evening, the Shiva-Parvati Dabali of the Basantpur Durbar Square in Kathmandu will resonate with the sounds of Kutumba, the folk ensemble band.

They will be giving an open-air concert to mark the festival of Fagu. The event, which has been organized by the Indian Cultural Centre in Kathmandu, is for free.[break]

Briefing about the event, director of the Indian Cultural Centre, Dr Geeti Sen, said, “Kutumba is one of the most innovative musical ensembles in Kathmandu.

They performed for us last year on the occasion of Holi, and we would like to continue this tradition.”

The band recently enthralled a huge audience gathered at the Boudhanath Stupa. Energized with the response, they are all geared up for another colorful performance.
