KATHMANDU, Sept 7: Century Commercial Bank Ltd has introduced a new deposit product under which people can open saving account with just Rs 5.
Issuing a statement, the commercial bank said that it would provide 3 percent interest rate per annum, payable each month, to people opening this account.
According to the statement, account holder can get a debit card at Rs 350 while deposits worth Rs 200,000 will be insured by the bank.
The bank has mobilized a total of Rs 28.97 billion in deposits and extended Rs 25.08 in loans in 2015/16, according to the statement.
