Chilime rescue to go round the clock after temporary road opening

The temporary road is expected to reduce reliance on helicopters and make it easier to transport personnel, equipment and supplies to the rescue site by road.

KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Shriram Neupane said a temporary road will be opened in Chilime from today to make rescue operations more effective.



According to Neupane, helicopters have been used for transportation and rescue operations until now, but the temporary road will provide road access to the rescue site from today.

He said a night shift will also begin today, allowing rescue operations to continue around the clock.


The temporary road is expected to reduce reliance on helicopters and make it easier to transport personnel, equipment and supplies to the rescue site by road.


Neupane said preparations were underway to intensify rescue efforts and continue them 24 hours a day.
