Constitution amendment task force to submit report by mid-July

KATHMANDU, July 5: The task force formed to prepare a discussion paper on constitutional amendments is set to submit its report to Prime Minister Balendra Shah by the end of the Nepali month of Asar, its coordinator Asim Shah said on Saturday.



Speaking at a press conference held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers to mark the government's first 100 days, Shah said the task force has been consulting constitutional experts, political parties and other stakeholders.

He said the consultations have been largely completed and the task force has now entered the report-writing stage. The report is expected to be submitted to the prime minister by the end of Asar.
