Former lawmaker Yadav has been charged with murder and under arms and ammunition case.The hearing started after completing the recording of statements for two murder cases and an arms and ammunition case, according to the district court's registrar Nanda Kishor Yadav informed.
Police had arrested him last Wednesday from the UML headquarters area in Kathmandu.
Earlier a year ago, Ram Sewak Raut and Ram Prakash Yadav were allegedly murdered by the UML leader after a dispute at school management committee in Sabaila VDC in Dhanusha.
As per police investigation, Ram Prakash had succumbed to a bullet injury and Ram Sewak died after he was thrashed badly. Following their muder, UML leader Yog Narayan had been absconding.
Meanwhile, around 500 people in support of the victim's family also reached the district court on Monday. They shouted slogans against the accused and demanded that he should not be released at any cost.
