UML Chair Oli taken to TU Teaching Hospital for medical checkup

KATHMANDU, March 28: CPN-UML Chair and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has been taken to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for a medical examination. Former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak is also scheduled for a health checkup today.

Oli, who was staying in a rented house in Gundu, Sunarbinayak Municipality-7, was arrested early this morning. Police briefly held him at the Kathmandu District Police Range in Bhadrakali, Kathmandu, before taking him to the hospital. Lekhak, residing in a rented house in Katunje, Sunarbinayak Municipality-5, was also taken into custody earlier today.


Both arrests were made as part of the implementation of recommendations by the commission led by former Special Court Chair Gauri Bahadur Karki, formed to investigate the Gen Z movement.
