KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane, former prime minister Baburam Bhattarai and CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel attended the Nepali Congress’s 15th General Convention on Sunday.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Rajendra Lingden, Shram Sanskriti Party General Secretary Aaren Rai, Nagarik Unmukti Party patron Resham Chaudhary and JSP Nepal Co-Chair Sharat Singh Bhandari were also present at the convention.

However, CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and outgoing Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba did not attend the event.
According to the convention schedule, the inaugural session was held on Sunday, followed by closed sessions on October 5 and 6. The election process is scheduled for October 7 and 8.
The convention, originally scheduled for October 2, was postponed due to continuous rainfall across the country.
