KATHMANDU, March 16: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday declines 26.07 points to close at 2,798.83 points.
NEPSE opened at 2,824.90 points added around three points in the pre-opening session. The market however went through gradual decline almost throughout the trading hours. The index fell to the day’s low at 2,793.69 points at the last 24 minutes, while it recovered around five points in the remaining period before the market closed for the day.

Sector-wise, manufacturing and process was the only group that gained 24.76 points in its market index. Of the 12 losers, life insurance plunged by the largest of 127.68 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 6.38 points. Daily turnover declined significantly to Rs 11.97 billion from Rs 14.32 billion.
Among the individual companies, 48 were the gainers and 211 lost their market charms. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 687.72 million.
Siddhartha Equity Fund lost by the highest of 4.39 percent. Salapa Bikas Bank Limited, Reliance Spinning Mills Limited, Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited and Solu Hydropower Limited were among the topmost losers.
