KATHMANDU, May 5: The District Court Kathmandu has extended the detention of Durga Prasai and Rabindra Mishra by five more days. They are currently under judicial custody for investigation at the District Police Range, Kathmandu.
District Court Judge Mahendra Bahadur Karki extended the detention by five days with effect from Saturday, according to the Court Information Officer Dipak Kumar Shrestha.

The Kathmandu District Court has ordered authorities to arrange medical treatment for Durga Prasai.
Judge Mahendra Bahadur Karki issued the order while Prasai remains in custody at Kathmandu District Police Office.
Prasai had filed a petition seeking release on bail or personal recognition to receive cancer treatment. Acting on the petition, the court directed officials to ensure his medical care.
Police arrested Prasai following a pro-monarchy demonstration on March 28, 2025.
