DoTM resumes printing driving license

KATHMANDU, May 16: The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has resumed printing driving licenses after resolving issues in its printing system.



Issuing a notice on Friday, the DoTM stated that the printing of driving license cards has resumed following the resolution of the technical problem in the printing system.

The printing of driving license cards had been halted since May 8 due to a technical glitch in the DoTM’s printing system.


According to the DoTM, the printing of approved applications has now resumed, including those submitted by Nepali citizens going abroad for study or employment, Nepali Army and Nepal Police personnel going on peacekeeping missions, and Non-Resident Nepali (NRN) citizens.


The notice states that urgent driving licenses can be obtained from the DoTM even on Saturdays.
