KAVREPALANCHOWK, Aug 25: Vehicular movement along Araniko and Helambu highways have been blocked due to a dry landslide at Bandeau in Bhumlu Rural Municipality-8 of Kavrepalanchok along the Araniko Highway and a separate landslide at Phedi in Panchkhal Municipality-4 along the Helambu Highway.

According to the District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk, both highways were blocked this morning due to landslides. Efforts to clear the roads are ongoing. Smaller vehicles are being redirected via alternative routes, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Shrestha.
The Jiri-Kurilo-Dolalghat section of the highway has been frequently experiencing blockages due to landslides triggered by incessant rainfall.
