EC denies rumors on Ashika Tamang’s candidacy cancellation

KATHMANDI, March 4:  The Election Commission (EC) has clarified that reports of Dhading-1 candidate Ashika Tamang’s disqualification on the eve of voting are completely false.



According to Manoj Joshi, head of the EC’s Code of Conduct Department, recent news circulating in media and social platforms claiming her candidacy was canceled due to permanent residence in Germany is incorrect. The EC has not made any decision to cancel her candidacy.
