KATHMANDU, Oct 8: Resident doctors at the National Medical College in Birgunj are reaching out to the government for targeted solutions to the challenges they face.

After 24 days of protests, these physicians made their way to the Ministry of Education and Sports at Singha Durbar to voice their concerns and formal requests. During the meeting, over 40 first-year resident physicians shared the struggles they encounter in their academic and professional lives with senior officials from the ministry.

They have raised serious concerns about the college administration, citing excessive pressure on students and a lack of a conducive learning environment. Their plea to the government is for the establishment of a calm and respectful atmosphere within the college, allowing them to focus on their studies once again.
