LONDON, May 2: Nepali Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Chandra Kumar Ghimire, presented his letter of credence to King Charles III amid a special ceremony held at Buckingham Palace in London today.
Upon receiving the letter, King Charles III congratulated Ambassador Ghimire and extended his best wishes for a successful tenure.
During the courtesy meeting following the presentation, Ambassador Ghimire conveyed warm greetings from President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to the King, along with their wishes for the prosperity of the friendly people of the United Kingdom.

The king recalled that the diplomatic relationship between Nepal and the United Kingdom has remained cordial and mutually beneficial since its establishment. He expressed the British government's commitment to supporting Nepal on its development path and shared his memories of visiting Nepal on several occasions.
Ambassador Ghimire emphasized that the Nepal-United Kingdom friendship has endured for two centuries and thanked the British government for its continuous support in Nepal's social and economic development.
Ambassador Ghimire, his wife, Sarita Neupane Ghimire, and senior diplomats from the embassy attended the ceremony.
On the occasion of presenting the letter of credence, the Nepali Embassy announced that it will host a reception tomorrow evening at the embassy premises.
Ambassador Ghimire serves as the 23rd Nepali Ambassador to the United Kingdom since the establishment of the Nepali diplomatic mission in the UK in 1934.
