KATHMANDU, Sept 17: Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle left for New Delhi at 7:35 am today for a three-day official visit at the invitation of the Indian government, with post-disaster reconstruction and expanding Nepal-India cooperation on the agenda.
Wagle's visit was approved by the Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday.
Leading a six-member delegation comprising officials from the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wagle will hold a bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman at 5 pm on Thursday, according to his secretariat.

He is also scheduled to meet Indian Foreign Minister Dr S Jaishankar on Friday.
According to the MoF, the visit will focus particularly on expanding Nepal-India cooperation in post-disaster reconstruction as well as economic, political and diplomatic areas.
On Friday, Wagle will attend a high-level diplomatic dialogue hosted by former Indian foreign secretary Shyam Saran as the chief guest.
He will also participate in a meeting hosted by Jawed Ashraf, president of the India Trade Promotion Organization, on the same day.
On Saturday morning, Wagle will address a conference of prominent Indian business houses organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry as the chief speaker.
Later on Saturday, he will deliver remarks as the chief guest at an academic discussion on development economics organized by the Delhi School of Economics. Wagle is scheduled to return to Nepal on Saturday evening.
