KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal met Australian Governor-General Sam Mostyn at Government House in Canberra to discuss bilateral relations, the Nepali diaspora and climate cooperation.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting covered the six-decade-long friendly ties between Nepal and Australia, the contributions of Nepalis living in Australia and issues concerning Nepali students.
The two sides also discussed Nepal’s climate agenda, including Himalayan conservation, climate resilience and the establishment of early warning systems, as Nepal prepares to chair negotiations at the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP31).
