KATHMANDU, April 1: Golchha Group has donated Rs 50 million to the Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) to support children’s healthcare services, Golchha Group said in a press release.
According to the press release, the donation was handed over during an event on Wednesday, aiming to improve healthcare services and ensure easier access to treatment for children. At the event, Chairman Sekhar Golchha and Prof. Dr. Bhagwan Koirala signed a financial support agreement under the group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

During the handover ceremony, Sekhar Golchha expressed pride in being part of the initiative to establish children’s hospitals across all seven provinces. He announced that the collaboration with KIOCH under the foundation’s social responsibility activities has officially started from today. He also assured Golchha Group’s continued participation in such noble initiatives, believing it will further enhance healthcare services in the future, the press release stated.
The press release further stated that receiving the contribution, Prof. Dr. Bhagwan Koirala thanked Golchha Group for their support. “The support from Golchha Group will help thousands of children receive high-quality medical care and will also aid the ongoing construction of hospitals in each province,” Dr Koirala said.
According to the press release, under the master plan to establish children’s hospitals in all seven provinces, hospitals in Damak (Koshi Province) and Kathmandu (Bagmati Province) are currently operational. KIOCH was founded with the goal of providing high-quality healthcare services for children.
