KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Gold and silver prices jumped in the domestic market on Thursday, with the price of gold climbing by Rs 9,300 per tola and silver by Rs 260.
Gold and silver prices remain steady
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 313,400 per tola, up from Rs 304,100 on Wednesday. Similarly, the price of silver has increased to Rs 4,855 per tola from Rs 4,595.
The sharp rise comes as precious metals continue to trade at elevated levels in the international market. According to international media reports, gold was trading at $4,512 per ounce, while silver stood at $67 per ounce on Thursday.
