NDRRMA's Officiating Chief Executive Officer Pradeep Kumar Koirala said that the decision to stop vehicle operation on road sections with a high risk of landslides and floods was made keeping citizen safety in mind.

"Considering the risk situation, we had requested not to operate vehicles in districts prone to landslides. Even today, vehicles will only be allowed to operate after assessing the real weather and road conditions," he said.

According to the officiating chief executive Koirala, there has been ongoing coordination with security agencies, local administration, and the road department. Vehicles will only be allowed on highways and other roads once it is confirmed that the risk has decreased.

NDRRMA has urged the general public to travel only after following official weather and road updates, avoid unnecessary travel on risky road sections, and follow the instructions of local administration and security agencies while travelling.
