Graft case filed against ex-APF IGP Oli

KATHMANDU, Feb 12: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday filed a graft case against seven people including former Inspector General of Armed Police Force (APF) Basudev Oli at the Special Court.

Earlier, CIAA had filed graft cases against suspended APF IGP Kosh Raj Onta and former IGP Shailendra Kumar Shrestha among others for their alleged involvement in massive financial irregularities and corruption while transporting various logistics to various APF units across the country.

Oli was head of APF from May 2006 to March 2009.

The anti-graft body also filed the case against former DSP Mahendra Bahadur Karki, Inspectors Bin Bahadur Thapa, Manuhira Mahat and Shiva Bahadur Adhikari and Sub-Inspectors Devendra Kumar Shrestha and Lekh Bahadur Khatri.
