JUMLA, April 22: The Himali Sambad (Himalayan dialogue), is beginning at Khalanga bazaar of Jumla district today. All preparations for the event have been over.
Chief of the dialogue organizing committee, Govind Bahadur Shahi, informed that the dialogue was being organized to raise the issues facing the Himalayan region in the local, provincial, federal and international levels. Information about it was shared at a press meet on Monday.
Jumla remains disconnected from province capital

Shahi, who is also the executive director of Karnali Integrated Rural Development and Research Centre, informed that youths from eight out of 10 districts in Karnali Province would be attending the programme. "Youths, children and marginalized communities will participate in the dialogue that dwells on pressing issues of Himalayan region like environmental degradation, snow melt, biodiversity loss, and adverse impact on locals," he informed.
The Centre further informed that in addition to youths, the dialogue would have the participation of environmental experts, policy makers, representatives from Himalayan region, journalists, social campaigners, and representatives.
