Speaking at an interaction organized by Reporters Club in the Capital Friday, Pokhrel said the Prime Minister will naturally keep the Home Ministry under his responsibility until there was debate for it. He added that the ministry should not be given to former rebels evaluating the past experiences.[break]
“Other parties resisted when Unified CPN-Maoist Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ attempted to dismiss Rukmanggat Katuwal, the former Nepal Army Chief,” said Pokhrel. “Later on Chairman Prachanda had to resign.”
He said it will be unfavorable situation for constitution writing if the Nepali Congress does not join the present government.
