SURUNGA (Jhapa), Jan 21: A man was killed while his wife was injured in a road accident that took place today at Kankai Municipality-1 along the East-West Highway in the district.
According to Traffic Police Office, Jhapa, the accident took place when a bus, Na 7 Kha 389, hit an e-rickshaw, Me a Ha 19. The deceased is the rickshaw driver Laxman Magar, 62, of Kankai Municipality-8.
Laxman's wife Indira Magar, 55, was injured in the accident and is undergoing treatment at the Birtamode-based B&C Hospital, police added.
Police have impounded both the vehicles in this connection. RSS
