KATHMANDU, June 3: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India is ready to further elevate its multifaceted relations with Nepal.
The statement came following a meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday between Modi and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently on an India visit.

After the meeting, Modi expressed happiness over the engagement and reiterated India’s commitment to strengthening ties with Nepal. In a post on social media, he welcomed Lamichhane’s desire for cooperation towards shared prosperity and a brighter future.
Modi stated that Nepal is a priority partner under India’s “Neighbourhood First” policy and added that India is ready to take the multifaceted relationship between the two countries to new heights.
He further expressed optimism that the dialogue with Lamichhane would help expand cooperation between Nepal and India in the coming days.
