Indian SSB arrest Chinese national near Nepal-India border in Siraha

According to Indian police sources, the trio were taken into custody after they were seen standing near the Dasgaja area and taking photographs toward the Indian side.

KATHMANDU, May 17: Indian Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has arrested a Chinese national near the Nepal-India border from Bariyarpatti Rural Municipality-3 in Siraha district.


The individual, identified as Yu Shichao, was arrested along with two Nepali nationals on Friday afternoon. While the two Nepalis were released later that night, the Chinese national remains in SSB custody.

According to Indian police sources, the trio were taken into custody after they were seen standing near the Dasgaja area and taking photographs toward the Indian side. The Armed Police Force (APF) from the Bariyarpatti Border outpost confirmed that the individuals were taken into custody by Indian security personnel.
