KATHMANDU, Sept 11: Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Mahabir Pun has responded sarcastically after National Assembly member Ram Kumari Jhakri described him as a “content creator", “influencer” and "YouTuber."
Pun expressed his displeasure with Jhakri’s remarks in a series of social media posts.

“I would like to inform the general public that a highly knowledgeable shaman has, since yesterday, honoured me with the new titles of content creator, influencer and YouTuber,” Pun wrote sarcastically. Her surname, 'Jhakri', corresponds to ‘shaman’ in English.
He also mocked Jhakri’s remarks by saying the titles she had given him were greater than the “junk scientist” title he received after providing 35 years of voluntary service.
In another post, Pun took a dig at Jhakri’s speech, writing: “I have never seen such a knowledgeable and learned sister in Nepal.”
Pun said Jhakri had called him a “content creator” during a National Assembly meeting and referred to her claim that she became a minister through political activism. He sarcastically said she had not questioned him about his work at the National Innovation Centre or his efforts to operate agricultural equipment in Birgunj.
Pun also mocked Jhakri’s reference to the Gen Z movement. He said that during the movement, he too had carried out a “major movement” by selling books on the hills of Panchthar and Taplejung.
In the same sarcastic vein, Pun claimed that he had brought down Jhakri’s government simply by selling books.
