KATHMANDU, May 30: Senior litterateur and journalist Bijay Chalise has passed away. According to local resident Nirmal Aryal, Chalise, a resident of Gokarneshwar Municipality-9, died at 9:45 AM on Friday.
Chalise, the eldest son of renowned writer Ramesh Vikal, had published over four dozen books in the fields of journalism and literature.

Aryal said that his final rites will be performed today at the Gokarneshwar cremation site.
