The highway had been disrupted after the road collapsed in the Krishnabhir section following sudden and devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district on August 26 and 30.

The District Administration Office, Dhading, thanked the federal and provincial governments, local authorities, concerned road projects and offices, construction companies, security personnel, journalists, drivers, passengers and other stakeholders for their support in reopening the road.

Despite the reopening, the administration warned that several sections of the Prithvi Highway remain vulnerable to road collapses, landslides and falling rocks and debris. It urged drivers and passengers to exercise extra caution.

The administration advised people not to take risks when travelling during rainfall or when landslides, rocks or other obstructions are visible on the road. They have also been asked to follow instructions from security personnel and road management officials and to travel only after assessing road conditions.

For further information on transportation and road conditions, the administration has urged travellers to rely on notices issued by the concerned authorities and security agencies.
