According to the ministry, a ministerial decision on September 11 instructed the missions to implement, in accordance with existing law, the required documents and the time limit for completing the demand letter verification process.

Under the directive, when an employer company in a destination country submits an application for demand letter verification to the concerned Nepali diplomatic mission, the mission must provide a consolidated list of any additional documents required.

The missions have also been instructed to ensure that demand letters are verified within the time limit prescribed by law.

The ministry said it has forwarded the directive to all Nepali diplomatic missions through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
